Conquering Mount Kilimanjaro

DISABILITY IS NOT INABILITY!

December 31, 2015 – January 8, 2016

Three young disabled Kenyans will undertake a 9-day climb to Kilimanjaro’s summit in order to raise funds to create awareness about disability amongst community. They will be joined and supported in their challenge by a team of 7 experienced climbers from the US and by Bishop Kalu from Mombasa Diocese.

– Fumo, 21 years old, is mentally challenged
– Ambrose, 17 years old, is deaf
– Marceline 15 years old, has Cerebral Palsy

The 3 youngsters are students of Kuhenza-backed schools in Kenya. They have been training hard for their challenge

Fundraising target is Ksh 1 mill.

The funds will be used to finance Kuhenza’s outreach programs that aim at educating local communities about the fact that disability doesn’t mean inability.
